Storm Damage Roofing in Corpus Christi, TX — Hurricane, Tropical Storm & Wind
If a storm just hit your Corpus Christi home, here's how to document the damage before you decide on repair or replacement.
Storm damage roofing in Corpus Christi means documenting hurricane, tropical-storm, and wind damage the way your carrier and TWIA need to see it, then repairing the roof to its failure point. On the Coastal Bend the loss is usually wind — hail is lighter here than inland. ARP serves Nueces County, inspects free with photos, and pulls your City of Corpus Christi permit.

Accountability
No cost, no obligation
Your free Corpus Christi hail & storm damage inspection
A free Corpus Christi storm inspection costs nothing and comes with no obligation. A project manager documents the hail and wind damage the way your carrier needs to see it — photographed, sized, and tied to the storm — and leaves you the full set whether you file or not.
On a Corpus Christi home we check the south and west slopes first, because that's where the hail lands hardest and where bruised mats and granule loss show up a season before a ceiling stain does.
We're not your adjuster and we don't negotiate your claim — but you get honest documentation and a written scope, so you know what the damage actually is before anyone talks settlement.
From assessment to warranty
Free Storm Shield Assessment
We measure your roof, photograph it, and document what's actually there — not a curbside guess. You get the photo set whether you hire us or not.
Written Scope Before Any Work
You'll see line-item scope, materials, warranty options, and a real number in writing. Nothing starts until you've read it.
Install and Warranty Registration
A crew led by an ARP project manager does the work, pulls the Corpus Christi permit, and inspects at the key stages — then your manufacturer warranty registers in your name within 30 days.
No fee, no deposit, no pressure. We confirm your address is covered before we schedule — then a project manager walks the roof.
Recent Coastal Bend storm? Your insurance clock is already running. > Most Texas carriers give you one year from the date of loss to file a windstorm or hail claim — and that window doesn't pause for repair quotes or second opinions. On the coast, a wind loss is a windstorm claim, which TWIA and your carrier document differently than an inland hail claim. Document the damage now, even if you're weeks from deciding to repair or replace.
Why ARP
Why Corpus Christi Homeowners Choose ARP for Storm Damage Repair
Storm repair is one part of our residential roofing in Corpus Christi work, and it starts with trust. After a bad storm, the hardest part isn't the damage — it's knowing which contractor to trust when a dozen are knocking. The Coastal Bend takes its worst roofing weather straight off the Gulf: hurricanes and tropical storms, straight-line wind at frontal boundaries, and wind-driven rain. Hail happens here, but far less often than it does inland — on the coast, it's the wind that takes roofs apart, and a wind loss here is a windstorm claim your carrier and TWIA document differently than the inland hail claims most contractors are used to.
Hurricane Harvey is what brought us to the Coastal Bend — we came to help homeowners rebuild after the 2017 landfall at Rockport and Port Aransas, and we've stayed. Since then we've replaced and repaired homes across Rockport, Aransas Pass, Ingleside, and Portland.
That coastal mix produces damage most contractors miss:
- Wind-driven rain finds the flashing first.
- Uplift creases and loosens shingles before a single one is gone.
- Salt air and a fallen limb together can open a whole section of decking.
Our team documents every finding with photos and an itemized scope, so nothing legitimate is left off your claim. Randal Williams (COO) is a former commercial high-rise field engineer and Xactimate expert with deep insurance-claims experience — the discipline that separates a fully-paid claim from a spot repair.
And storm damage rarely stops at the roofline. As a full roofing and remodeling contractor, we also repair the siding, fascia, soffit, and water-stained interiors a storm leaves behind — so one team documents and restores the whole loss for your claim, not just the shingles.
After a Gulf storm, the roof that gets paid right is the one that's documented right — that's the work we do before we ever pull a shingle. We've scoped wind and hurricane damage across the Coastal Bend since Harvey, and over the years I've documented more than $7 million in insurance claim work across Texas: every finding in photos and an itemized Xactimate scope. Your carrier decides what they pay. Our job is making sure nothing legitimate is missing from the file.

Storm Repair Steps
How Storm Damage Roof Repair Works in Corpus Christi
Every storm job runs the same three steps, repair or full replacement.
- Free inspection with photos. We walk your roof, document every wind lift, missing shingle, and flashing failure, and show you what we found.
- A written scope for you and your carrier. Materials, flashing detail, permit handling, and warranty terms in writing, so the claim reflects the full damage.
- Supervised repair and warranty registration. One project manager runs the work, pulls your permit through the City of Corpus Christi Development Services at 2406 Leopard Street, and registers your warranty within 30 days.
For the full storm-damage playbook — what to photograph, how the claim timeline works, and repair versus replacement — see our storm damage roofing guide.
That windstorm distinction changes what your repair has to be. Corpus Christi sits in Nueces County — a TWIA-designated catastrophe county, like neighboring San Patricio and Aransas — so your storm repair has to be built and documented to the windstorm code the carrier and TWIA expect, not just patched. When your roof needs a WPI-8 Certificate of Compliance to stay eligible for windstorm insurance, we coordinate that inspection with a qualified Texas windstorm engineer — the engineer issues the certificate, and we build to the attachment schedule so it can be. As of April 2026, a storm rebuild must also meet FORTIFIED — the beyond-code IBHS standard now required for WPI-8 certification in these TWIA counties. See our Coastal Bend windstorm roof certification page for how WPI-8 and FORTIFIED work.
A note on your deductible and door-knockers. After a storm, some contractors offer to "take care of" your deductible. In Texas that's a criminal offense under Business & Commerce Code § 27.02, and Insurance Code § 707.002 requires you to pay it — so that offer is a red flag, not a deal. We document the damage; you and your carrier settle the claim.

What storm damage costs in Corpus Christi
When a hail or wind storm damages your roof, your insurance carrier covers repair or replacement of the storm damage. In most cases your out-of-pocket cost is your deductible, plus any upgrades you choose and any damage your carrier won't cover — and we work with your carrier to supplement the scope so covered damage isn't left out. Here's how the money actually works.
What you'll actually pay
For most homeowners on a covered claim, your out-of-pocket cost is your deductible — plus any upgrades you choose and any damage your carrier doesn't cover. We work with you and your carrier to supplement the claim scope, so the covered storm damage needed to restore your roof to pre-storm condition is actually in that scope.
We document and supplement the scope
ARP's Xactimate-trained team photographs and measures the damage the way your adjuster reads it, and works with your carrier to supplement the scope so covered items aren't left out. We help document and justify the scope — we don't act as your public adjuster or negotiate your settlement for you.

Making it affordable
Financing your insurance deductible
A storm claim covers the roof, but your portion — your deductible, plus any upgrades you choose — still lands as an out-of-pocket bill, often right when you're already dealing with the damage.
That's why we offer financing on your portion: if you qualify, you can spread that out-of-pocket cost into manageable monthly payments and get your roof restored now instead of waiting out another hail season under a failing one.

Is ARP the right fit for your Corpus Christi project?
The best way to judge any Corpus Christi contractor — us or anyone else — is to ask for a written scope, ask who your single point of contact is, and ask when the manufacturer warranty gets registered in your name. If a roofer can't answer those three plainly, that's your answer.
Yes — we're a match
A good fit if you
- Want a roofer your Corpus Christi neighbors have actually used — not a pop-up tent after the last hailstorm.
- Want everything documented and in writing, with photos, before any crew gets on the roof.
- Plan to stay in your Corpus Christi home or hold the property long term.
- Had recent hail or wind damage and want it documented correctly for your carrier.
No — we'll say so up front
Not the right fit if you
- Need a commercial job below our minimum repair scope, or a firm residential repair price over the phone — we quote every repair after an on-roof inspection.
- Need someone to start tomorrow with no inspection.
- Are choosing purely on the lowest bid, without reading the scope underneath it.
- Want a contractor to pay, waive or "take care of" your deductible — a criminal offense in Texas under Business & Commerce Code § 27.02.
We'd rather tell you that on the phone than waste a walkthrough.
