Documentation instead
With no city inspection out here, ARP's photo record and written scope stand in for it — the file you keep for a claim, a sale, or the next roofer.
Inez, Texas
ARP Roofing & Remodeling serves Inez and unincorporated Victoria County from our Victoria office. Inez has no city government and no municipal building inspector, so the photos and written scope your roofer creates are the only record your roof will ever have. We document every job for inland South Texas hail and wind. Book your free Inez inspection.

Roof Storm Damage in Texas →County record — no city permit
Your Inez address answers to Victoria County, and the Victoria Appraisal District values it.
Out here there is no city permit office. Inez is unincorporated, so no municipal inspector will ever look at your new roof; any permit question runs to Victoria County, and ARP confirms what your address needs before work starts. That is exactly why the record ARP creates — the pre-work photos, the written scope, the registered warranty — stands in for the city inspection you will not get.
Every Victoria County job runs through our Victoria roofing company, the same office that will take on yours. Begin with what Inez lets you set aside. Inez lies well inland, a short drive from Victoria proper and nowhere near the coastal line, so Victoria County sits clear of the TWIA windstorm district — there's no WPI-8 certificate to chase, and an ordinary homeowner's policy carries your wind and hail. What the roof still has to stand up to out here comes down to South Texas hail and driving wind. Inland doesn't mean untouched by hurricanes. Hurricane Carla destroyed the Inez community hall in 1961, and the town rebuilt it the next year. When Hurricane Harvey came ashore in 2017, the National Hurricane Center's report logged a 72-knot gust, about 83 mph, at its Victoria station. That reading is a Victoria County figure, measured at Victoria about fifteen miles southwest of Inez rather than in Inez itself, but it's the closest official measurement of what that storm threw at this part of the county.
Here's what makes Inez different: it's an unincorporated community, so there's no city government and no municipal building department checking a re-roof. Victoria County's own published development and permit guidelines state that the county has not adopted building codes and does not issue building permits in its unincorporated areas. What the county does permit is floodplain development, through its Floodplain Administration office at 2805 N. Navarro, and septic systems through Environmental Services — not the shingles over your head. That means nobody inspects the work but the people you hire. So when you hire us, the photos and written scope we create become the only record your roof will ever have, and we treat them that way.
When hail moves through, the way we handle it is straightforward:
Hail can bruise a shingle mat months before the first drip reaches a ceiling, and the filing clock in your policy runs whether or not you've spotted it — so put it on record early even if nothing looks wrong from the driveway. And steer clear of anyone promising to "make your deductible disappear" — under Texas Business & Commerce Code § 27.02 that's a crime, and Texas Insurance Code § 707.002 requires you to pay it. Out here there's no inspector backstopping a cut corner — the documentation is the whole safeguard.
Inez stretches across nearly 60 square miles of rural Victoria County along U.S. 59, on land that was a railroad station called Arenosa until it was renamed Inez in 1882. Census Bureau estimates put the typical Inez home's build year at 1998, about eight in ten occupied homes are owner-occupied, and roughly a third of the housing is mobile or manufactured homes. Around those sit:
Roofs like these carry their own baggage — long spans, decking gone soft with age, and additions stacked up across generations. Whatever we find on yours, the order of work holds:
Need something short of a full replacement? Victoria roof repair is where it starts.
For a typical Inez home, budget $14,000 to $22,000 for a standard architectural-asphalt reroof run out of our Victoria office — that figure carries a full tear-off, fresh flashing, synthetic underlayment, and cleanup. A larger rural home with long spans or steep, cut-up rooflines runs higher, a Class 4 impact-rated shingle, or metal, runs higher still, and when a storm did the damage, much of it usually falls to your insurance rather than to you.
Inez falls squarely inside the South Texas hail belt, which makes a UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated shingle worth weighing on any replacement — the upgrade adds only the material cost gap versus a standard shingle, and a good number of Texas insurers knock something off your premium in return. Set a full roof replacement beside metal roofing, and the Class 4 guide walks through the tradeoff.
Farmhouse off the highway, metal building on acreage — it opens the same way: a no-cost inspection documented in photos, and a written scope that spells out every line — the record your roof will carry from here forward.

ARP roll-forms standing-seam and exposed-fastener panels on our own equipment, puts a dedicated metal foreman on the install, and backs the roof with a written workmanship warranty.
2026 Inez range: about $27,200 to $47,800 on a 2,000 sq ft home.
Residential metal roofing →Before the panels are ordered
2026 Inez range: about $23,100 to $29,700 on a 2,000 sq ft home.
Class 4 shingle →What the grade means
When hail or wind hits a Inez roof, the first move is documentation, not a repair: ARP photographs the damage the way your carrier needs to see it and hands you a written condition report.
If the damage is storm-related, insurance often covers much of the cost.
Roof Storm Damage in Texas →Order of operations after a storm
A roof moves water off the house; the gutters decide where it goes. ARP forms seamless aluminum gutter on site, in one continuous run per roofline, so the only joints on your house are at corners and outlets — the places a gutter is supposed to have them.
Best done with the roof: drip edge, underlayment and gutter apron detailed together by one crew.
Residential roofing →What is in a gutter scope
“A rural place is never just one roof — the house, the barns, the outbuildings, each a different age and material. I won't give you a single number across all of it and call that honest; we walk every structure and tell you which roof needs the work now and which one can safely wait another season.”
Why homeowners choose ARP
Inez homeowners hire ARP for what is on the record. The second column is the part most roofers leave out of the conversation.
On the record
One honest note that protects you
What ARP does instead: photograph and document the damage the way your carrier needs to see it, and give you a written condition report before you file.
